Windows Live Movie Maker 2011- edit HD movies free, fast

The software that came with my new HD video camera was a joke, it did all of its processing as I was editing so you had to be there for many hours to edit your movie. WLMM processes before and after editing, so editing is quick and easy. My old Windows Movie Maker did not handle HD. BTW, my camera records in MP4. ***BUT, installing WLMM on a computer running on Vista does NOT support MP4. The same WLMM running on Windows 7 works perfectly on MP4. I hope this info saves you 3 days. I think there are some plug ins or something you can buy to make Vista support MP4, but I kept running into sites wanting to charge me, So I just edit movies on my newer laptop.
